It doesn't get any better than this for a unique dining experience! Right here in the heart of Jonson County, this one of a kind castle was the perfect place for a birthday brunch. I highly recommend the Queens Power Bowl.

Very pleasantly surprised by the fantastic entrees! We decided to give wandering vine a try for date night. I did a flight of their whites with distinction. The wines were different and I appreciate that there’s so much variation on the wine menu. I would’ve loved to see some additional fuller body whites in the wine by the glass options but still they have some really interesting choices available. We had the lemon ricotta focaccia, strip steak and the lobster cavatelli. The focaccia was well-made, though the tomato chutney is lost with the ricotta and basil. Overall, it was tasty, but I’d probably try a different starter next time. There was a bit of a weight for our entrees, but as I said, when they arrived, we were quite surprised. The steak was absolute perfection. The outside had a flavorful crust while the interior was a beautiful medium rare. The Demi glaze on top was a nice touch. As for the sides, we had the mushrooms and potatoes. I didn’t get the Madeira aioli from the mushrooms and the potatoes needed additional seasoning, but both were decent. The lobster cavatelli was outstanding. I was full, but kept sneaking a few more bites because it was too good to resist. Typically beats are my least favorite food on the face of this planet, but the golden beats mixed with the asparagus and sage cream sauce went well together. We finished with some coffees as we were too full to try a dessert. We will definitely be back.

I wanted to treat my mother. This was an amazing find. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure what was most impressive, food, grounds, or the staff. All have ensured repeated visits. To top all that off, the price was less than I anticipated.

Top notch gourmet food in a great castle atmosphere. Great Thursday night special for two with a bottle of wine. Superb pork chop dinner!

We went for brunch on a Sunday to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The food was divine. In our group people had the eggs, potatoes, waffles, coffee, biscuits with homemade jam (peaches with a hint of cinnamon), bacon, mimosas, and coffee. It was all delicious! I wanted to check out the place and so they took me around showing off each level and giving me insight into the building history. I can’t wait to go go back for flights of wine! My sister, is in a wheelchair and they made sure to make sure everything was set up for us and it was comfortable. We’ve been to other restaurants that are not as accommodating or aware of the needs of those in chairs so this was refreshing! There was a sweet family with a baby next to us and a little girl celebrating a young birthday with her family. It was upscale and friendly. I loved it and will absolutely be going back! Our waitress, Randy, was attentive and personable without being overbearing and overwhelming.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Wandering Vine at the castle. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, but our server, Sophie, truly made the evening exceptional. She was terrific, knowledgeable, attentive, and had an excellent recommendation. Everything she suggested was top-notch, and the food itself was outstanding. Each dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The age state was to die for. If you’re looking for a great meal with excellent service, I highly recommend Wandering Vine at the Castle. Be sure to ask for Sophie.

An absolutely phenomenal afternoon in a historical building, served the most delicious tea & brunch you could ask for. Tea at The Wandering Vine at the Castle was quite the treat and the best possible way to spend a rainy day date. I highly recommend checking out this location, especially if you are a foodie in need of trying something new. They did not disappoint. We left feeling refreshed and full, prepared to await our dinner in the evening. Everything tasted very fresh and every bite had a ton of flavor packed into it. There were flavor combinations in the dishes that I found to be new and exciting, many of them left me craving more. The apricot scones were absolutely to die for. The building was beautiful and the staff were extremely polite and on top of everything. The owners as well were very lovely to talk to. I will be returning in the future to try more of their food and relive this wonderful experience again.

I took my mother here for their afternoon tea and it turned out to be a perfect experience. Our sever, Sophie, was very sweet and the owner came by to visit our table as well. The food was delicious and creative and did not have the standard cucumber sandwich which we were grateful for. It was a leisurely and relaxing environment. When we realized we ate up all our food, completely neglecting to get a picture of it first (because we are weird like that), the owner and our server both were so kind to bring a tray by for a quick picture before we left. Thank you!
